Looking for a Place to Call Home
Camp Papillon is looking for a forever home. We are on a mission to establish a Sanctuary in Monroe County, PA. The Camp Papillon Sanctuary will contain fields for running and playing, a river/pond to swim in and people who will love and care for them forever. Camp Papillon Animal Sanctuary is a no kill, home for animals. Our dogs are the dogs that other shelters and rescue groups turn away. The Camp Papillon Sanctuary will provide a home for life for unwanted, unadoptable, sick and old dogs. It will also provide care for other animals such as cats, rabbits, ferrets, and any animal that Camp Papillon can accommodate. Our animals become a part of a loving family whose life mission is to provide food, shelter, care and love for all the dogs that require our help. Our animals won't live in individual kennels but instead they will live in groups with their canine and human caretakers.

Become a friend of the Camp Papillon Sanctuary, and help maintain a place where the animals can live out their lives with dignity, in a safe, comfortable environment. Donate to the Camp Papillon Sanctuary Fund.

Read the Facts About The Camp Papillon Sanctuary vs Shelter

Shelter: Shelters can only temporarily house animals. Inevitably, shelters get over populated and will need to turn animals away.
Not all shelters are no kill !

Sanctuary: The Camp Papillon Sanctuary would be a temporary shelter, too and ALWAYS no kill. However, we want to take saving animals a step further. For those animals, for what-ever reason aren’t adopted, they will have a permanent, safe, loving environment where they can live out the rest of their lives in peace in our sanctuary.

Shelter: Shelters only have human contact during business hours.

Sanctuary: Camp Papillon firmly believes in the importance of foster homes. Animals must be socialized with humans as this helps them to adapt better to the forever homes. We have experienced, loving foster families currently housing over 100 animals and will continue to utilize our foster care program. We will have a vet tech on site at the sanctuary as well.

Shelter: Shelters tend to assist one another by taking in the animals from other states when those shelters are at capacity.

Sanctuary: Camp Papillon believes the crisis in Monroe County must be addressed first and foremost! There are plenty of animals in our own back yards that need a place to call home. Local animals need to be considered top priority. Additionally, if adopted from out of state and then surrendered here, it adds to the numbers already out of control in Monroe County.
